Kroger Hot Honey Pepperoni frozen pizza from their Stonebaked line is a stoneoven pizza with sourdough crust, tomato sauce, mozzarella, uncured pepperoni, orange marmalade, pecorino romano cheese with a hint of hot honey and chili. It says product of Germany on the front, are they known for hot honey pepperoni?
It looked gorgeous even when it was still frozen. The chili flakes and edge to edge pepperoni are something you don't often see on a frozen pizza.
They are not shying away from the combination of sweet and spicy, and it doesn't look or taste like any other frozen pizza I've seen on the market.
Personally, it came off a little too sweet. I think a hint of honey or marmalade would make the pepperoni pop, but it ended up tasting like orange chicken glaze like you get at a Chinese restaurant. Fun to try but probably not finding its way into my normal rotation.
